The Zutz Group is Wilmington, Delaware's largest insurance agency. Founded in 1940 by Harry David Zutz, the firm began offering insurance products from a one-room office in the Delaware Trust Building in downtown Wilmington. Our firm has evolved over the years responding to the varied needs of our clients. After more than 65 years of successful trading as a private firm, in March 2006, we became part of one of America's most successful organizations, Hilb Rogal & Hobbs, the 8th largest U. S. insurance and risk management intermediary and 10th largest in the world. We provide Personal, Business and Life, Health & Disability
insurance products to thousands of individuals and businesses and are
specialists at creating sound insurance programs for Associations and
their members.
Our firm has evolved over the years responding to the varied needs of our clients. Today, there are three organizations that comprise the Zutz Group: Harry David Zutz Insurance, Inc., the original firm, provides Personal and Business Property and Casualty insurance to over 5,000 businesses and families. In 1977, Professional Liability Insurance, Inc. (PLI) was formed to respond to escalating needs of professionals of all disciplines. Today, PLI protects over 10,000 attorneys and more than 5,000 accountants, physicians and dentists. Zutz Financial Services, Inc., incorporated in 1998, further expands the product lines available to our clients. The ZFS organization specializes in Life, Health and Disability coverages. As independent agents, we are free to choose the best insurance
carrier for your particular need, in other words, we work for you, not
the insurance company. Professional Associations We are members of the Independent Insurance Agents of America and Professional Insurance Agents of America.
